1. Operator and contact
LiedText Editions — Vocal Text Editions for Singers is the brand under which the content of https://liedtexteditions.com is offered.
For enquiries, support and complaints: info@liedtexteditions.com.
These terms govern use of the website and the licence to use its content. Paddle’s purchase terms govern the transactions it processes. No provision of this document restricts the buyer’s mandatory rights.
2. Products and pre-purchase information
LiedText Editions offers digital editions of vocal texts for study and linguistic preparation for singing. Each product includes the original text, phonetic transcription in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), a literal translation, a natural translation, grammatical explanations and notes for singers. They do not include musical scores, recordings or musical accompaniments.
Before purchasing, check the work or cycle, the edition language, the included files, the price and the licence type. The purchase does not include other works, languages or services unless expressly stated in the offer. Free samples do not extend the contracted content.
3. Purchase and payment
Purchases processed by Paddle are made from Paddle as an authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. LiedText Editions provides the content and support relating to the editions and access to them.
Paddle’s terms are available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms. Payments and refunds for transactions processed by Paddle are managed through that service.
The price, currency and applicable taxes are shown before payment is confirmed. Standard edition purchases are one-off payments without automatic renewal. Institutional offers specify the price and scope of the licence before payment.
4. Delivery and technical requirements
Delivery is digital. Once payment is confirmed, the edition is made available in the account specified when registering for the service. If an issue prevents access, you can email info@liedtexteditions.com with the order reference.
Opening PDF files requires a device and reader compatible with this format. Keep a copy of the downloaded documents and proof of purchase. Availability for download on the website does not amount to a guarantee of indefinite hosting.
Unresolved delivery issues will be handled in accordance with the refund policy and applicable rights.
5. Personal licence
A personal purchase grants a non-exclusive licence to download, consult and print the purchased materials for the buyer’s study, performance or teaching activities. Copies may be kept on personal devices and backed up for this use.
Professional use does not authorise distributing copies to students, colleagues, choir members or third parties. Reselling the files, publishing them online or sharing them in group repositories or platforms without authorisation is not permitted, except for uses allowed by applicable law.
6. Institutional licences
The scope of each institutional licence is stated in the accepted offer: work or cycle, included editions, number of authorised accesses or copies, allocation criteria and, where applicable, duration. These conditions are specified before purchase.
The institution must respect the contracted limit and manage allocations to authorised members. An institutional payment does not automatically grant the manager a personal licence. Extensions require a new purchase agreement.
The licence does not authorise public distribution or transfer to other entities. Specific conditions may not reduce the buyer’s mandatory rights.
7. Intellectual property and watermarks
Rights in the translations, notes, explanations, design and other original contributions belong to LiedText Editions. Original texts in the public domain retain that status; this licence does not create exclusive rights over those texts.
PDF files include the buyer’s or beneficiary’s email address and the order reference to identify the licence. This information must not be altered to conceal unauthorised distribution. The associated personal data processing is explained in the privacy policy.
8. Account and use of the service
You must provide accurate information and protect the links used to access your account. Anyone acting for an institution must be authorised to do so.
Where there are indications of fraud or unauthorised distribution, we may apply proportionate measures, including temporarily suspending the affected access. Where possible, we will explain the reason and provide a review of the issue at info@liedtexteditions.com. These measures do not extinguish legitimate rights arising from valid purchases.
9. Quality, errors and complaints
The editions are study support materials. Translations and transcriptions may reflect editorial decisions and justified linguistic variants. We do not guarantee a specific academic or artistic outcome.
This does not exclude responsibility for errors or defects in the product or substantial differences from the offer. You can report issues using the designated form. Remedies and refunds are governed by the relevant policy and applicable law.
10. Changes and applicable law
Price changes do not affect confirmed purchases. Changes to these terms do not retroactively reduce licences or acquired rights.
The relationship with the operator of LiedText Editions is governed by the law in force, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules and the jurisdiction of the competent courts. Purchases from Paddle are governed by its own contract. Complaints may be sent to info@liedtexteditions.com.
